I grew up in the New York area as a fan of the Mets. I have heard all the stories about the 1969 Mets, though I was too little to remember anything about that team. The late 1970′s it was tough to be a Mets fan, but I stuck with this team all the time. My patience was rewarded when Davey Johnson and the young NY Team turned it around in mid 1980s. I have memories from college watching Game Six as one of the all time classics. I stayed a die hard fan with Mets up until around 2001 when I became disinterested with what GM Steve Phillips was doing with the team. About that time, here in North Carolina I started following the AAA team for the Tampa Rays and started a blog in 2002. I relaunched the site as YaGottaBelieve and I am credited as being the original Rays blogger. I was approached by Sports Blogs to start a blog on Rays in 2005 called Drays Bay. I had to leave the blog after about a year, and I later started the blog BaseballHappenings.com

Good story!! My baseball story involves the Pirates and Braves. I think we all should be able to post our baseball story somewhere. I may post mine somewhere if it can be read!
